I offer sessions in person in Peckham Rye on a Monday afternoon and evening. I can also offer sessions online if you prefer. Sessions are ideally weekly at a regular time. But please contact me if you had something else in mind.

Sessions usually last 50 minutes. But for younger children, these can be shorter if you/they prefer.

I can offer short and long-term sessions. It can be hard to answer this straight away as it might depend on what you or your child would like support with.

When a young person is under 18, a parent or guardian will usually make the initial contact by email. We can then arrange a free of charge 15-minute telephone/online video call. You can tell me your concerns and ask any questions you might have. Adolescents may want to join the appointment. We can then decide how to proceed.

We arrange an initial consultation meeting, online or in person where we can think more in-depth together. This is also a good moment to introduce your child. If we agree to proceed, I can then offer your child two assessment sessions alone.

These initial sessions help me to think about what it is you or your child might need from me, and whether I am best placed to offer this. It also helps to give you a sense of how future treatment will be and whether Psychotherapy is the right option for you.

We can then agree on the best way to proceed with regular opportunity for review.

You can of course end therapy when you are ready. I would recommend that we do not do this suddenly and have a few sessions to prepare.

In order for therapy to feel safe and effective it is important that sessions are confidential. Contact with parents/guardians will be shared with the young person. The detail or content will not be shared without the young person’s consent. A review session can be useful if the child consents to this.

It is understandable that you would want to know what is being explored during your child’s therapy. It is important to let them know that you are available if they want to share information, but accepting if they don’t.

If a child or adolescent tells me something that I think you need to know, I will discuss with the young person how they or I will tell you.

If I think a young person is at serious risk of being harmed, then I will need to inform other professionals. This is also the case if a disclosure is made where someone else is at risk of being harmed.

Please contact me to discuss fees.

You will need to let me know 48 hours in advance in order to cancel, otherwise you will be charged for the session in full. Holidays and breaks can be booked in in advance.
